The Rideau Waterway Heritage River

Located in the Rideau Canal Museum in Smiths Falls, this exhibit celebrates the designation of the Rideau Waterway as a Heritage River. The unique design features an illustrated “riverscape” – in the form of an aerial view, stylized rendering – of the entire waterway from Kingston to Ottawa. A rich array of photos, artifacts and artworks, including an interactive question and answer panel, are used to portray the waterway's historical, recreational and environmental values.
